Mission Statement
Health is a right and not a privilege and the 432,972 people of the Eastern Highlands Province have the right to health services. And the National Government together with the Provincial Government has the duty to provide basic health services to its people is contributing to the overall health status of the Eastern Highlands through the provision of stable and essential health services throughout the last 38 years, since it’s inception. The provincial life expectancy has increased from 53.6 years in 1990 to current 56.1 years, which is incidentally greater than the current national average life expectancy.
